Instagrammin’ in September

My newest obsession is Instagram on my iPhone.  So, while I haven’t been here on the blog as much, I have been putting current pics out there on Instagram.  It’s fun—it’s like photography, blogging, and updating my Facebook status in one…with a lot less work involved.  So, if you have an iPhone or iPad and want to keep up with us, follow me on Instagram.  Or, just wait until the end of the month and I’ll try to put it all here.

First Day of School

On August 27th, Ella began her school year as a 3rd grader, proud to be in the upper grades at the elementary school and anxious about her first year of “real” grades (A’s, B’s, C’s instead of 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s).  And Jack became a “grader”, as Ella used to say, beginning his year as a 1st grader.  Both kids got fresh haircuts the week before school started—Jack to refine his new longer, surfer look and Ella wanted to go for a bob again.  These two are so stinkin’ cute.  I just love this age.  I guess I always say that, but maybe because it all just keeps getting better.  We’re so proud of how excited Ella and Jack are both about going to school and learning—as great as our summer was, these two were thrilled for school to start.

Flashback, ii

Another set of neglected photos that went unedited over the past year.  This series is from nearly a year ago—mid-October of last year the kids helped me scout out a location on a gloomy afternoon after school.  These were just too cute for me to forget.  But, boy have Ella and Jack both changed in the last year and, probably, so has my photography.
