Ivy

Our new niece, Ivy Susanna Crosson, was born on November 9, 2013 at 1:07pm, a sweet little babe at 5 lbs. 13 oz.  We were so happy to meet her about 3 weeks later over Thanksgiving.  She’s such a doll and we’re so excited for my sister and her family and, well, actually for all of us.  I hope we see a lot of her over the fleeting baby years—what a cutie! 
Ivy had a newborn session with a local photographer/friend in her first week, so when I came down for Thanksgiving I didn’t bring any lighting or props, etc., for a newborn shoot. But, we spent about 15 minutes on the morning of the last day of our visit over Thanksgiving, just capturing a few images of my lovely new niece.  So happy to meet you, Ivy!

And Now They Are Six

The day after Thanksgiving we spent literally under 10 minutes to take some family photos of my sister’s family, to mark this wonderful moment in time when this beautiful family became a family of six.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving down in Atlanta at my sister’s house along with my parents.  It was a big family gathering (at least to my small family it is) not just to celebrate Thanksgiving together but to also welcome our newest member, sweet little baby Ivy.  Yes, after 3 boys (now ages 11, 8, and 6) my sister and her husband had a baby girl in early November.  We were all so very excited to meet and hold Ivy—in fact that’s about all I took pictures of over Thanksgiving, everyone playing hot potato with Ivy.
