Florida in August: St. Augustine Beach

We took a ten day trip to Florida in early August, making stops throughout the state to visit family and friends.  It was a very busy week-and-a-half and the boatload of pictures is what has been the bottleneck on the blog over the past few months—taking the time to get through them, that is.  Our first stop on this trip was St. Augustine Beach where we met up with Nana and PopPop, Aunt Jacqui and Uncle Randy, and Uncle Chris, Aunt Chrissy, and Jacob, Noah, and Emilee. Our long weekend there involved lots of beach time—both evening walks and daytime fun—and even more time just hanging out.  We celebrated Uncle Randy’s and Jack’s birthdays together, too.  As always, it was a fun, memorable time.

{these first few were from an evening walk where i was trying out a new creative lens, the lensbaby composer pro with sweet 35 optic.  this is a manual focus lens that swivels to create blur and i hadn’t quite figured it out yet.  plus, i may or may not have had three glasses of wine before our walk…bad combination with trying to swivel and fine tune focus…but, there’s no changing lenses on a sandy, windy beach, so this is what we have from the walk.}

And then some beach time on a stormy day.

{whenever these 3 get together there’s always some electronics time together—funny how they watch each other play.}

Another evening walk with the Lensbaby.  Jonathan left the next day for home and we left with Aunt Jacqui and Uncle Randy for a few days in Orlando, a part of the trip that I unfortunately don’t have any pictures from.

And then some pictures from my iPhone because it was sometimes too rainy to bring my camera.

{these two loved digging their holes.  noah and jack are practically inseparable when our families visit.}

{before my instagram days, but still had fun with that kind of edit.}
