On the Wednesday of our week in Hilton Head, we took a morning bike ride on the beach (which we remembered loving last year, but apparently that was because it was a cloudy, rainy day and therefore the sun wasn’t scalding and also the beach wasn’t crowded). So, after just a mile or two on the beach we decided to instead ride our bikes on the shady trails of Sea Pines down to the Stoney-Baynard Ruins. Afterwards, we spent time poolside and then, after getting cleaned up, we headed down to HarbourTown for Gregg Russell’s show under the Great Oak Tree. This year’s show was extra fun because both Ken and Jake were called up on stage to perform with Gregg Russell. Ken raised his hand when Gregg Russell asked if anyone had gone to his show when they were a kid—Gregg Russell has been doing his show at HarbourTown for 38 years! Ken went up on stage and, under the direction of Gregg, sang “I’m a Little Teapot”. :) Jake was chosen to perform, too, and he sang a continuous, seemingly never-ending Boy Scout camp song until Gregg Russell’s comedic charms made Jake crack up. Jake and Ken both did a great job entertaining the crowds. Jack and Zane were raising their hands together to be selected, too, but we’ll just have to wait to try again next year!
