Davidson

It just didn’t work out this year to make it to a Davidson College football game this year, but fortunately we were able to put a basketball game on the calendar in December.  First, we headed up to the Brixx at Birkdale, up in Huntersville, for dinner and to check out some of my photos that have been made into a large collage in that restaurant.  Birkdale’s also a nice place to walk around and was beautifully decorated for the holidays.  After dinner, we headed to the Davidson College campus where we stopped into the college bookstore first to get t-shirts for the kids.  Jack had to wait until Christmas morning to get his—it’s kind of a long story I’d rather forget why—but, Ella put hers on right away for the game.  Jonathan pointed out some highlights as we walked across the campus and the kids always like to hear about the window he once was a part of cracking (oooh, daddy did something baaad).  Anyways, the basketball game itself was a fun time.  I’ve always enjoyed college basketball and Davidson basketball does not disappoint.  May need to get me a Davidson shirt for next year, though, because I don’t have any red and managed to wear the colors of the opposing team… Regardless, the Wildcats won and we had a fun time cheering them on.  Go Cats!
